Salt and Pepper Shrimp (Thai Food) - Kung Pad Prik Glua กุ้งผัดพริกเกลือ

Salt and pepper shrimp is a popular menu at seafood restaurant. Fresh shrimps fried with salt and pepper until mixed well and shrimps have nice orange color.

Eat with plain steamed rice or fried rice, it is a nice combo meal. You can change to other seafood that you like with the same recipe.
Ingridients: For 2 portions
  • 300-400 g. shrimps
  • 2 tbsp. garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. red chili, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. green chili, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. spring onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Palm oil for deep fry
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
How to cook:
  1. Heat palm oil over medium heat
  2. Add shrimps
  3. Fry around 2 minute or shrimps cooked
  4. Heat pan over medium heat
  5. Add oil, garlic, red and green chili and fry until fragrant
  6. Season with salt, sugar, black pepper, fish sauce, and water
  7. Add fried shrimps and spring onion
  8. Mix well
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves
