After enjoying your main meal, do you usually want to have a delicious dessert for your family? Do you have no idea what kind of dessert you should have?
Do not worry. Today, Cooking Recipe Khmer/Thai cuisine will introduce you one delicious Thai food called "Kanom Leb Meu Nang" in Thai. This Thai dessert is hardly known among foreign people and also some Thai do not know as well.
This sweet made from rice flour cooked in brass pan until done and shaped it to the line shape. It will be served with coconut cream, shredded coconut, sugar and roasted white sesame.
- Steamed Rice Flour with shredded Coconut - Kanom Kee Noo
- Thai Rice Flour with coconut Cream - Kanom Leb Meu Nang
- 100 g. Rice flour
- 15 g. tapioca flour
- 250 g. Water
- Food coloring
- 250 g. coconut cream
- 2 tsp. rice flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tbsp. roast white sesame
- 50 g. sugar
- 1/2 cup ripe coconut, shredded
- Mix coconut cream, rice flour, and salt
- Stirring over lower heat until cook. Set aside
- Mix sugar and roast white sesame. Set aside
- Mix rice flour, tapioca flour, and water in the bowl
- Rest them 5-10 minutes
- Transfer into brass pan
- Stirring over lower heat until cook
- Cool down
- Drop food coloring (that you like) and knead until well
- Shape the dough into 2-3 inch line
- Toss with tapioca flour
- Boil the mixture until cook
- Put ripe coconut on tray and toss the cooked mixture together
- Serve Kanom Leb Meu Nang with coconut cream and sugar topping
