Winter Melon Soup – Gang Jeud Fuk แกงจืดฟักกระดูกหมู

Cooking recipe blog has so far provided a lot of Thai food. Today, we are really great to share Thai soup that is good for winter season.

It is an easy and basic recipe for everyone. This soup is a nice choice for winter season or any time that you want something easy to cook. The main ingredients are just winter melon or winter gourd and pork spare rib, cooked until done and soften.

Ingridients: for 5-6 portions
  • 500 g. winter melon
  • 300 g. pork rib
  • 8-10 shitake mushroom
  • 1/2 cup Carrot
  • 1/2 cup Chinese celery
  • 1/4 cup Spring onion
  • 4 tbsp. light soy sause
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 4 coriander root
  • 20 Thai garlic
  • 1 tsp. black peper
  • 1500 ml. water
How to cook:
  1. Pound coriander root, black pepper, and garlic until smooth
  2. Boil water, add sugar, soy sause, and herbs
  3. Add pork rib, carrot, and mushroom
  4. Simmer around 10-15 minutes over lower heat
  5. Add melon
  6. Simmer around 10-15 minutes over lower heat
  7. Before serve add celery
